Latex gloves are non-ventilating except at the cuffs. Therefore, do not wear gloves over a prolonged period of time. Change gloves frequently. Wash and rest your hand as often as you can.

Select gloves of the right shape and size. A little loose is fine but they should never be too tight. A well fitted glove reduces muscle stress as you flex your hands.

Remember to trim your fingernails. Long and sharp nails obstruct the effective use of gloves and may cause them to tear.

Some users may be more sensitive to latex gloves than others. Allergic reactions may develop over a period of time. Look out for signs of skin irritation or development of respiratory problems. See your medical service provider immediately if such symptoms occur.

Gloves may turn brownish during use. This is normal. The reaction of traces of copper with dithiocarbomate (a curing chemical type) found on the glove surface causes the color change. Also, traces of copper either in sweaty palms, from your key chains or buckles or even your nickel coins can cause this. Copper accelerates the breakdown of rubber. Therefore, do not place gloves in contact with things made of copper.
